Brantford (Charing Cross) + Virtual

I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support often happens during moments of transition; when something in life has shifted, or when old patterns no longer work the way they once did. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply searching for deeper meaning, therapy can offer a space to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.

I work with adults across the lifespan, including young adults, midlife individuals, and older adults, as well as youth aged 15–18 and families. Many of the people I support are navigating complex life transitions; career changes, divorce, becoming a parent, empty nesting, illness, or shifts in identity and purpose. I also work with individuals living with mood disorders, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), substance use concerns, and severe mental health challenges, as well as those who feel marginalized or caught between different cultural, social, or personal worlds.

My approach is collaborative, respectful, and deeply individualized. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Instead, I adapt my work to fit who you are, what you value, and what feels most helpful for you. Some people appreciate reflection and practical tools; others want to explore their inner world more deeply. We can work in the present moment while also gently exploring how early experiences, relationships, and unmet emotional needs may still be shaping your life today.

Much of my work is informed by self psychology, psychodynamic therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT), and existential and humanistic approaches. I’m particularly interested in helping people restore a sense of self-cohesion, repair empathic injuries, and reconnect with meaning, purpose, and vitality. I also integrate elements of Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy when working with bipolar disorder, focusing on relationships, routines, and rhythms that support emotional stability. As I continue my training, I incorporate mindfulness-based practices and emotionally focused approaches for individuals and couples.

Clients often tell me they feel heard, challenged, and drawn out in our work together. Many are thoughtful, high-achieving individuals who enjoy being engaged in the process; through reflective questions, creative exercises, or gentle between-session practices; while others prefer a more conversational, exploratory style. I respect both, and we’ll shape the work together in a way that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.

I bring a strong foundation in cultural humility and 30 years’ experience in hospital and community mental health, working with people from diverse backgrounds, belief systems, and life experiences. I approach therapy with curiosity rather than judgment, and with the understanding that healing is not about “fixing” yourself, but about understanding yourself more fully and compassionately.

Above all, I aim to offer a space that feels human, grounded, and real; where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself endlessly, or have everything figured out. We’ll take things at your pace, and work toward change that feels meaningful and sustainable in your everyday life.
