Virtual in Brantford (Highland):

When life changes, you may not recognize yourself anymore.

Sometimes life changes gradually. Other times, it changes in an instant.

A diagnosis. A separation or divorce. The end of a relationship. Job loss. A loss you weren’t prepared for. An experience that left you feeling shaken or unsafe. You may be struggling with anxiety, racing thoughts, difficulty sleeping, loneliness, numbness, or a sense that you simply don’t know what comes next. Perhaps you are experiencing flashbacks or nightmares, or finding that your mind and body are responding to something that happened in the past.

Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to navigate this new chapter alone.

I work with individuals who are moving through significant life changes—whether those changes were chosen, unexpected, or completely outside of their control. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing begins with feeling understood, heard, and safe.

Together, we can begin to make sense of what has happened, understand how it is affecting you, and find a path forward. We will honour where you are in the present moment while gradually working toward where you want to be. Therapy may involve exploring thoughts, emotions, relationships, and patterns, as well as the ways experiences are held within the body.

Depending on your needs and goals, I draw from a range of approaches, including EMDR, somatic therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I believe therapy should be individualized rather than one-size-fits-all. After we identify what you would like to work on, we will develop a personalized approach that feels constructive, meaningful, and appropriate for you.

My clinical areas of focus include trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and significant life transitions. I also have experience working with first responders and individuals who have experienced difficult or traumatic circumstances.

With 20 years of experience in hospital and community-based settings, I bring a broad clinical perspective to my work. I practice from an anti-oppressive and client-centred perspective, recognizing that your experiences are shaped by your relationships, circumstances, culture, and the world around you.

Most importantly, you are the expert in your own experience. My role is not to tell you who you should be or how you should feel. It is to walk alongside you, help you understand what you’re experiencing, and support you in finding your way forward.

Therapy can be a place to pause, breathe, process, and begin again.

If you are entering a new season of life and aren’t sure what comes next, I invite you to reach out. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can connect, discuss what you’re looking for, and see whether we might be a good fit.

I look forward to connecting with you.
