Brantford (Highland) + Virtual:
I offer a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space for clients ages 12 through adulthood. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique needs, supporting individuals navigating mental health concerns, relationship struggles, trauma, anxiety, overwhelm, grief, and life transitions.
I bring over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, including more than 19 years working in both in‑patient and out‑patient mental health and medical settings within a hospital environment, and the community. This depth of experience has given me a strong understanding of the realities, pressures, and complexities of healthcare work. As a result, I am well‑positioned to provide psychotherapy to doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, and others working within medical systems.
Having worked alongside interdisciplinary healthcare teams, I understand the demands of clinical roles, the emotional toll of caregiving, moral distress, burnout, secondary trauma, and the unique challenges of balancing professional responsibility with personal well‑being. I am able to integrate this understanding into therapy, offering a space where healthcare professionals can feel seen, understood, and supported without needing to over‑explain their experiences. When appropriate, I am also comfortable collaborating with other care providers to support comprehensive and well‑coordinated care.
My clinical work is grounded in specialized training in Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS); modalities that support trauma processing, nervous system regulation, and deeper self‑connection. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and other evidence‑based approaches, because I believe healing looks different for everyone.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside clients from many backgrounds, each with their own stories, strengths, and goals. My personal experiences; as a partner, mother, sister, daughter, and more; inform the compassion, empathy, and authenticity I bring to the therapeutic relationship.
This is your life, and together we can work toward cultivating resilience, fulfillment, and peace.
“Every time you say no when you mean no, what you are saying to yourself is this: I love you and will protect your boundaries.”
