Rebecca Suprun MSc MA RP-Q

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.  I hold a Master of Arts (MA) in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Master of Science (MSc) from the Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Brock University.  I am also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and the Ontario Association for Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).  I am continually engaging in professional development in different therapeutic modalities to help guide my work.

My clinical work as a psychotherapist is driven by an integrative, strength-based, client centered foundation to help clients optimize their skills, build resilience and cultivate growth.  I have over 20 years of combined experience in the social service sector having supported children and their families in child welfare and as a professor at Fanshawe College supporting post-secondary students.  I work with clients ages eight and up, experiencing all forms of mental health struggles including but not limited to; anxiety, depression, work and/or academic stress and relationship issues.

I offer a safe and empowering space for you to be heard that will help you heal while tackling stress and challenges. We will work together to identify your goals, discover your inner strengths, build confidence and reset the balance in your life. I am supportive, open-minded and empathetic and want to help you learn to trust yourself and surrender to the changes of life in order to reach the fulfillment of a life worth living.  Outside of work I’m a wife, mom of three + one golden fur baby and a small business owner. In my spare time I like to be coaching and cheering on my family in group sports, walking my dog and spending time at the lake. My family time at the water brings me back to my roots, helps to ground me, and rejuvenates me for what life has to offer.

My Approach to Your Therapy:

I approach my clinical work from an integrative foundation which means I combine carefully selected complimentary theoretical approaches and interventions to meet your individual needs. The client-therapist relationship is central to integrative therapy and therefore I will work collaboratively with you in a supportive and active role during our sessions together.  Integrative therapy has been proven to be useful for many mental health issues including depression, anxiety, past and present trauma, low self-esteem and phobias; as well as for loss and bereavement.
