Sarah Sibany MSW RSW (she/her)

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor, a Bachelor of Social Work from McMaster University, and a Bachelor of Sociology from Queen’s University. I am a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers in good standing. I am a lifelong learner with a passion for continuous education and growth. I have completed CBT certification as well as training in mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, engaging families, developmental needs of children with attachment disorders, substance abuse in adolescents, fostering resilience in mental health and addictions work, ADD, ODD, and Intermittent Explosive Disorder, Becoming an Ally and children with FASD.

I have always enjoyed talking to people, learning who they are, and hearing their stories. From a young age, people were comfortable opening up to me, I believe this is because I am empathetic, nonjudgmental, and compassionate. I am humble and like to laugh, especially at myself! I utilize various therapeutic modalities to ensure that you feel heard and understood and we will come up with a plan together about how you can achieve your goals.

I have over 16 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and families including work in the school board, child welfare, mental health, and domestic violence agencies. I will meet you where you’re at whether that’s in person, by phone, or virtually. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children, family, and friends, taking care of my two cats and dog, jogging, reading, and listening to podcasts.
