Rachel Daca MSW RSW (she/her)

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from Windsor University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. I am a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I have obtained certification in Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT) and also utilize Solution-focused therapy, Narrative therapy, Systems theory, and Mindfulness-based therapies to guide my work. I continually engage in research-based professional development opportunities that assist me with staying current with new and emerging therapeutic trends and approaches.

I have a passion for helping others find the strength and wisdom within themselves to make positive changes in order to live their best possible life. Together we can come up with an individualized plan that will help you reach your goals. I will use an array of therapeutic modalities as I listen to your experiences in a non-judgmental, compassionate, and curious way. I have over 15 years of combined experience supporting individuals, couples, children, youth, and families in child welfare, hospital, risk-youth drop-in centre, and seniors supportive housing settings. I currently provide individual, couples, and family counselling over the phone or virtually; I specialize in the treatment of depression, anxiety, parenting challenges, relationship issues, work and academic stress, adjustment to illness, and healthy lifestyle issues.

Furthermore, I am compassionate, empathetic, professional, non-judgmental, and attentive. A little about me – when I am not at the office, I love spending time with family/friends and my cat Bandit. I have a deep appreciation for nature, I’m an avid traveler that loves hiking, practicing yoga, skiing, and swimming.
