While life’s challenges may bring pain and distress, I wholeheartedly believe in one’s ability to persevere. By embracing a trauma-informed approach centred on trust, empowerment, and collaboration, let’s embark on a journey toward healing and transformation together.
I am trained in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and continue to employ an elective model of client-centred therapeutic modalities and techniques, providing an opportunity for curious and compassionate healing. I also support couples with the Gottman Method, providing an accountable space to nurture learning, understand perspective, and improve communication.
Holding a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science (BScFS) contributes to my attention to detail to help clients understand aspects of themselves through an attachment lens. I have frontline experience working with survivors of domestic violence, along with children who have experienced or witnessed violence in the home. These experiences have provided invaluable teachings, allowing me to see beyond behaviours, empower individuals to focus on the impact of their lived experiences, and provide trust in the healing journey.
I am guided by the therapeutic relationship developed with empathy, trust, and understanding, and I recognize the need for the right connection for recovery. If I am not the right fit, please check out other bios on the team page at Mindful Path Counselling for another therapist who may meet your needs.
My experience, education, and commitment to trauma-informed care support my work with individuals. My dedication to helping clients feel safe and secure in the therapeutic environment is an essential value in my job to help individuals create meaning and purpose for a more fulfilling life. Let me walk alongside you in your healing journey to start to work together to build a life worth living.
