Brantford (Highland) + Virtual:

Hello and welcome!

As a clinical therapist, my practice is focused on women’s mental health and wellbeing. I aim to provide gender responsive and holistic supportive treatment for women’s emotional health during diverse experiences of pregnancy, postpartum, grief, trauma, and sexuality. This includes birth and reproductive trauma, perinatal mood disorders, relationship issues, body dysmorphia, and coping with infertility and loss. I believe in the importance of supporting individuals through the various complexities and challenges of life, recognizing which of those may be inherent to the female lived experience.

My practice is trauma informed, strength-based, inclusive, and person-centred. My role is to support you and empower you on your journey toward mental wellness, health and healing. My therapeutic approach uses a collaborative and integrative model that incorporates a variety of theories and perspectives. This includes the principles of narrative therapy, internal family systems therapy (IFS), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). I am a believer in the mind-body connection and the power of a regulated nervous system (nervous system reset and healing). I incorporate somatic interventions, mindfulness and breath work to reset the nervous system and encourage a greater sense of resilience, embodiment and grounding. I believe that a holistic and integrative approach to therapy maximizes your self-determination and self empowerment.

My background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (BA) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN). I am currently completing my Master of Social Work (MSW) with an anticipated June 2025 graduation date. I hold specialized certifications in breast-feeding/chest-feeding, international development, somatic therapy for complex trauma, birth and reproductive trauma, perinatal mental health, and women’s mental health.

If you think we may work well together, I invite you to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
