Do you struggle with conflicting life demands while feeling exhausted and overwhelmed? Do you put your needs at the bottom of the to-do list? Do you find yourself feeling unhappy with yourself and with your relationships? Feel like you forgot who you are at some point along the way, with a harsh inner critic that tells you that you aren’t good enough? You are not alone. Asking for help is brave, and prioritizing your mental health has profound impacts on your life, relationships, and view of yourself.
Paula is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a diverse background that uniquely positions her to understand the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.
Her experience spans career development and human resources, where she honed her skills in helping individuals navigate transitions and achieve their professional goals. Paula’s passion for health and wellness led her to become a Holistic Nutritionist. She worked in an integrative health setting for eight years, supporting individuals and families in making sustainable lifestyle changes, managing chronic illness, and cultivating overall well-being. She has also worked in community mental health, working with individuals living with complex mental health needs.
As a person-centered therapist and genuinely kind human, Paula believes in tailoring treatment to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. She draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Narrative Therapy. This allows her to create a personalized approach that addresses the specific concerns and challenges her clients face.
With a genuine and caring approach, Paula is committed to assisting clients in reaching their full potential. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice, along with a deep understanding of the challenges people face. Paula believes in the power of therapy to facilitate healing and growth. She provides a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their concerns, develop coping strategies, and overcome personal obstacles. Her goal is to empower clients to find more peace, joy, and meaning in their lives.
