Janine Davies (she/her) MA RP-QualifyingPsychotherapy Associate
I operate from a person-centered approach, and I believe everyone is the expert in their own life, they may just need some guidance to manage it. I feel a strong therapeutic relationship is the key to clients meeting their goals, and I strive to create a space where young-adults and adults feel safe to talk, share and explore challenges they are facing. I value collaboration and tailor treatment to each individual, and I utilize a number of evidence-based techniques like CBT skills, DBT skills, mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients work through obstacles, develop healthy coping habits, and flourish in their life. I bring a down-to-earth, authentic approach to the counselling space. Life is challenging whether it be as a post-secondary student transitioning to adult life, a parent struggling with balancing home and work-life, or someone struggling with day-to-day mental health pressures. I look forward to meeting each client where they are at, each time they come in.

Reaching out can be hard. I bring 19 years working in mental health where I didn’t feel I could help enough, so I started this, my second career. My life experiences, being a partner and a parent help me empathize with you. If you would like to chat to learn more about my style or you are ready to start making changes, book a free telephone consultation.
